A Lecture About the Use of Orlicz Spaces in Information Geometry

This chapter is a revised version of tutorial lecture that I presented at the École de Physique des Houches on July 26–31 2020. Topics include: Non-parametric Information Geometry, Statistical bundle, exponential Orlicz spaces, and Gaussian Orlicz-Sobolev spaces.

We present a construction of an Orlicz space admitting a C∞-smooth bump which depends locally on finitely many coordinates, and which is not isomorphic to a subspace of any C(K), K scattered. In view of the related results this space is possibly not isomorphic to a polyhedral space.
